Make your Home an Allergy-Free Zone
I’m Mike and I used to have severe hayfever (so severe I once took a whole term off school!).
By trying and testing every possible product and service, I FINALLY devised a method to accurately measure and reduce triggering allergens at home.
This provided me with a safe haven, where I could rest, recover and enjoy life again (symptom free!), while undergoing my 3-year immunotherapy treatment plan that finally brought an end to my severe allergy symptoms..
I now want to share the method I used, so that others can get the same relief in the midst of their allergy battle!
How it works.
VIDEO Script:
- If you or someone in your family has suffered with allergies, you already know just how uncomfortable and debilitating it can be.
- Whether it be itchy eyes, runny nose, sore throat, tight chest or a combination, you just want a place for it to stop and feel the relief.
- This was me when I was younger, and although I tried EVERYTHING, nothing seemed to help.
- This was until I realised I was guessing, buying a random air purifier, vacuuming my room all the time, without knowing if I was making a difference.
- I needed to an objective and measurable way of knowing whether these things I was doing or products I was using were helping.
- I did this by buying one of these. It’s called a particle counter you can use it to measure the size and concentration of Particle Matter around your home, as well as humidity and some other useful measurements.
- By having one of these, I was able to take practical and measurable steps to reduce the relevant particle matter for my allergy and monitor my progress until eventually down to a level which no longer triggered my symptoms.
- I finally had a place where I felt relief, so I could recover, focus on my work, get high quality sleep.
- Breatheclean’s Home Allergy Audit provides a free version of this.
- We’ll ask you to fill out a questionnaire to get an understanding of your allergies.
- Next, we’ll send you our Home Allergy Audit Kit. Primarily this, involves a Particle Counter for you to measure and submit the Particle Types and Concentrations around your home.
- Lastly, one of our Allergy Experts will have take a look at your responses and results and provide an actionable plan for you to decrease the particle matter and allergens in your home.
Video: The Science
Allergies are caused by allergens that are carried by particle matter.
Different allergens have corresponding particle matter sizes, typically ranging from 0.1 to 10 micrometres.
Short infographic type video showing the main allergen triggers (pollen, mold spores, dust mite (droppings), VOC’s, image and their sizes.
Once we understand your allergy, we can measure the concentration of the corresponding particle sizes associated with it.
For example, hayfever sufferers are allergic to pollen, which typically range from 10 to 100 micrometres. Therefore, we need to be measuring particles within that range.
Although we are not testing the exact allergens in your home, we are able to measure the size and concentration.
We can then provide bespoke allergy-relief reccomendations.
If you or someone in your family suffers from allergies, you already know how uncomfortable and debilitating it can be.
The itchy eyes. The runny nose. The sore throat. The tight chest.
You just want somewhere — even one room — where it finally stops, and you can feel relief.
That was me when I was younger.
I tried everything — air purifiers, special bedding, constant vacuuming — but nothing seemed to help.
I realised I was guessing. I was buying products and changing habits without actually knowing if they were making a difference.
That’s when I found the key — data.
I bought one of these: a particle counter. It measures the size and concentration of airborne particles in your home — along with humidity and other factors that affect allergies.
For the first time, I could see what was really in my air.
I started tracking my readings, trialing different products and behaviours to see what worked- and soon watched the numbers begin to go down.
And when they did, so did my symptoms.
Eventually, I had a place where I could breathe freely, sleep deeply, and just feel like myself again.
That’s what inspired us to create the BreatheClean Home Allergy Audit.
You’ll fill out a short questionnaire so we understand both your allergies and your home environment.
We’ll send you our Home Allergy Audit Kit, which includes a professional-grade particle counter.
You’ll take a few readings around your home and submit the results online.
One of our allergy experts will review your results and create a personalised action plan — showing you exactly how to reduce the allergens relevant to you, based on the allergen concentrations in your specific property.
If you’ve been struggling to find real relief, stop guessing and start measuring.

Because feeling better starts with breathing better.
For people who suffer with severe airborne allergies, we have found the first step of recovery is creating an allergy-free zone, first usually a bedroom and their entire home.
A place where they can finally feel r
The problem is, in practice this can be very difficult. We try and follow practical advise such as vacuuming regularly, changing bed sheets, shutting windows but often, symptoms persist and it’s very hard to know what’s working and what’s not.
This is where BreatheClean’s Home Allergy Audit comes in. We use one of these, a Particle Counter and it measures the size and concentration of different particle matter around your home. Essentially allowing us to see what’s in your air.
Once you’ve submitted your results and fill out a short questionnaire, one of our Allergy Experts will take a look and analyse the data. They’ll then submit a report and bespoke action plan telling you the exact changes you need to implement to make your specific home an allergy-free zone.
